**Job Title**
Cloud Engineer II
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS with supporting workloads in GCP. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, establish governance guardrails, and provide Tier 2 cloud support within a Jira ticketing system.
**Expactations**
- 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles.
- Daily hands‑on use of Terraform for IaC.
- Strong knowledge of AWS; working experience with GCP.
- Ability to operate in a ticket‑based environment and handle production support.
- Proficiency with Linux, scripting (Bash, Python), and networking fundamentals.
- Understanding of cloud security, IAM, and compliance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure and GCP supporting workloads.
- Write, review, and maintain Terraform modules and golden‑path templates.
- Establish and enforce governance, guardrails, and security policies.
- Support cloud‑based deployments, networking, and security configurations.
- Operate within Jira for Tier 2 support, managing incidents, outages, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams on cloud initiatives.
- Document architectures, standards, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to project delivery and ongoing operational support.
**Required Skills**
- Terraform (IaC) – daily usage.
- AWS (majority of workloads); GCP experience.
- Linux systems, Bash, Python scripting.
- Networking: VPC, DNS, firewalls, VPN.
- Cloud security, IAM, compliance best practices.
- Troubleshooting, problem‑solving, communication.
- Jira ticketing system.
- CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) – preferred.
- Kubernetes (EKS, GKE) – preferred.
- Cloud governance model development – preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Cloud certifications: AWS or GCP Associate/Professional level (preferred).
