Job Description

Job title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Senior Java developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining multi‑tier enterprise applications, including microservices, monoliths, and data pipelines. Provides technical leadership, mentorship, and best‑practice guidance across cross‑functional teams. Expectations: - Deliver robust, scalable code in a fast‑paced Agile environment. - Mentor junior developers and disseminate technical standards. - Communicate complex architectural concepts to technical peers and senior leadership. - Adopt modern technologies to optimize business processes and productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement microservices, monolithic, and data‑pipeline solutions. - Design and maintain database schemas using SQL and No‑SQL databases. - Create and maintain shell scripts for build, deployment, and dependency management. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, GitLab, etc. - Collaborate with partners, vendors, and stakeholders to automate and improve business processes. - Provide technical guidance and training to internal and external clients. - Stay current with industry trends and advocate for relevant technologies. Required Skills: - Strong proficiency in Java (Spring/Spring Boot). - Expertise in SQL, No‑SQL databases, and scalable data architectures. - Advanced shell scripting (Bash, etc.) and build tooling. - Experience with Linux, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud (public/private). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, GitLab. - Knowledge of web technologies: JavaScript, CSS, Angular, Node.js. - Agile development experience (Scrum, Kanban). - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Leadership and mentoring capabilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - No specific certifications required (Agile or DevOps certifications are a plus, if available).
