Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Canada **Role Summary:** Lead and execute business development initiatives within Western Canada, cultivating strategic partnerships with insurers, brokers, and travel management companies while driving new client acquisition and revenue growth. Collaborate with the Country Manager to shape market-specific strategies and maintain a robust sales pipeline. **Expectations:** - Achieve defined revenue, pipeline, and profit targets. - Deliver accurate sales forecasting and reporting. - Represent the organization professionally at client meetings, industry events, and conferences. - Develop and maintain high‑level client relationships and a strong network of industry contacts. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify and qualify new prospects across key industry verticals. - Conduct Face‑to‑Face sales calls (≥10 per week) to uncover client needs and propose tailored solutions. - Build and manage a sales pipeline in Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate data and timely status updates. - Prepare and submit professional proposals, tenders, and contract documentation in line with corporate standards. - Negotiate agreements, address objections, and close business deals. - Lead prospecting plans, including cold‑calling, event attendance, and referral follow‑up. - Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation initiatives and campaign support. - Represent the company at conferences and exhibitions to maximize networking opportunities. - Continuously evaluate market performance against objectives, adjusting tactics as needed. - Provide feedback to the Country Manager on market trends, client needs, and competitive insights. **Required Skills:** - Proven business development and B2B sales experience. - Strong pipeline management and CRM proficiency (Salesforce.com). - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. - Ability to establish relationships with senior decision‑makers. - Project‑management skills to coordinate proposals and tender submissions. - Knowledge of the health, security, and travel risk management sectors is advantageous. - Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and capable of working independently in a remote setting. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. - Professional sales or business development certification preferred (e.g., Certified Professional Sales Leader, CCIM).
