Job Title: Temporary Junior International Publicist
Role Summary
Provide short‑term support to the NY International Publicity team during a parental leave cover for five months. Manage and execute global PR initiatives, coordinate talent and event logistics, administer the intern program, and maintain alignment with Sales, Grassroots and Events efforts.
Expectations
Work self‑directedly within a fast‑paced film PR environment; deliver organized, proactive campaigns; handle cross‑functional communication; manage budgets and logistics with precision; support a diverse range of international releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead tactical PR campaigns for A24’s film slate, collaborating with the Head of International Publicity.
- Initiate, organize, and execute press days, junkets, and partner communications for upcoming releases.
- Administer intern hiring, onboarding, and training in partnership with the department coordinator.
- Manage talent schedules for all titles, arrange travel, accommodations, glam and styling; supervise coordinators.
- Coordinate specialty projects with Sales, Publicity, Grassroots, and Events teams to enhance international campaigns.
- Staff and attend talent–facing events (film festivals, special screenings, press days, awards shows), including after‑hours and limited travel.
- Anticipate and plan logistics for international PR needs (hotels, venues, liaisons, interviews, photos, press notes, festival participation).
- Source press nominations, prioritize partner needs, and collaborate with PR, Marketing, Delivery, Distribution, Accounting, and talent reps.
- Oversee publicity materials, track image requests, and secure approvals from talent, reps, and agencies.
- Manage agency relationships for specific markets in global releases.
- Create, maintain, and reconcile event and festival budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of professional experience in film/television PR at a major studio, network, or agency.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational abilities.
- Forward‑thinking, initiative‑driven, and self‑starter attitude.
- Established consumer/awards press and talent/rep relationships.
- Detail‑oriented, reliable, and proactive.
- Team player with personable, social, and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Creative thinking and experience managing a small team or coordinators.
Required Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Film, or related field. Professional PR certifications (e.g., APR, PRSA) are preferred but not mandatory.
