**Job Title**
DevOps Analyst, Senior
**Role Summary**
Senior DevOps Analyst drives operational excellence for clinical data platform features, overseeing incident management, process automation, deployment, and continuous delivery. Works closely with product stakeholders and development teams to integrate new features, maintain security and compliance, and ensure efficient, cost‑effective implementation across multiple technology product lines.
**Expectations**
- Lead DevOps practices for one or more platform feature teams.
- Serve as proxy Product Manager/Scrum Master when needed.
- Influence stakeholders, prioritize issues, and deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.
- Continuously improve workflows, automation, and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Manage incident response, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis for application issues.
2. Design, configure, script, and test deployment pipelines, monitoring solutions, and performance metrics.
3. Automate operational processes using AI or scripting to increase efficiency.
4. Partner with product owners to clarify business requirements, create user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
5. Produce and maintain process flows, test cases, and documentation for assigned development areas.
6. Participate in all agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos).
7. Ensure security, compliance, and architectural standards are met throughout development and deployment.
8. Conduct regular system audits, apply patches, and recommend improvements.
9. Provide analytical support and recommendations for cost‑effective implementation of reusable features.
**Required Skills**
- Strong DevOps expertise: CI/CD, configuration management, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience with monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
- Incident management, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and team collaboration.
- Agile methodology knowledge (Scrum, Kanban) and document workflows.
- Understanding of security policies, compliance, and sustainable design practices.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of direct, relevant DevOps or operations experience.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or similar are a plus.
