Job Description
**Job Title:** Solution Architect – Azure/.NET **Role Summary:** Lead the high‑level architecture and design of end‑to‑end insurance solutions using Azure, .NET, microservices, React, PostgreSQL and AI/ML technologies. Drive scalable, secure, and compliant implementations that support underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle, and customer self‑service portals. **Expectations:** - 12+ years of IT experience, with ≥4 years as a Solution Architect in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance. - Deep domain knowledge of insurance processes and regulatory compliance. - Proven expertise in Azure cloud, containers, DevOps, and microservices. - Ability to mentor teams, influence architecture standards, and deliver production‑ready solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design and document architecture for P&C insurance applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. 2. Define architectural standards, patterns, and guidelines for Azure services, microservices, API integration, and event‑driven workflows. 3. Lead data and service integration using SOAP/REST APIs, ESBs, and API gateways. 4. Architect and oversee deployment pipelines (CI/CD) with Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS). 5. Mentor and review development teams, enforcing best practices and compliance checks. 6. Evaluate and integrate AI/ML and chatbot solutions for customer self‑service and risk analytics. 7. Collaborate with regulatory teams to meet P&C insurance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI, state mandates). 8. Monitor system health, lead incident investigations, and recommend continuous improvement actions. **Required Skills:** - Microsoft Azure (Functions, App Services, AKS, Service Bus, Container Registry, Logic Apps). - .NET (C#) and React development expertise. - PostgreSQL database design and tuning. - Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and event‑driven architecture. - Enterprise integration: SOAP/REST APIs, ESBs, API gateways, service mesh. - DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, IaC (ARM/Bicep/TF). - AI/ML and chatbot integration (Azure Cognitive Services, Bot Framework). - Comprehensive understanding of P&C insurance processes: underwriting, claims, policy lifecycle, reinsurance. - Knowledge of P&C regulatory and compliance requirements. - Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred); Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent. - Relevant certifications in .NET or related technologies advantage.
