Job Description
Job title: Buyer (Hybrid work) Role Summary: Execute end‑to‑end procurement for manufacturing materials across multiple commodities while ensuring alignment with project schedules and quality standards. Manage supplier relationships, maintain accurate ERP data, and drive continuous sourcing improvements in a fast‑paced environment. Expectations: - Operate predominantly from a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). - Deliver high‑quality purchase orders and materials fulfillment within tight timelines. - Communicate effectively with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and project teams globally. Key Responsibilities: - Create and process purchase orders in SAP MM, including MRP posting and status updates. - Coordinate with suppliers and internal customers from requisition to receipt, ensuring quality and delivery compliance. - Expedite orders when required and update ERP system accordingly. - Identify and onboard new suppliers, performing supplier review and qualification. - Maintain master data integrity and ensure adherence to data principles. - Collaborate with North American project teams and global suppliers to meet delivery objectives. - Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and negotiate terms when needed. - Support cross‑functional initiatives and complete ad‑hoc tasks as directed by management. Required Skills: - Proficient in SAP MM (including MRP) and strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Technical knowledge of manufacturing material groups and integration topics. - Experience sourcing and purchasing across multiple commodities in a dynamic environment. - Analytical mindset with advanced problem‑solving and organization abilities. - Excellent oral and written communication, capable of managing customer/vendor relationships. - Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and achieve results. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain/Procurement, Materials Management, Engineering, or Business. - Minimum 2 years of procurement experience can substitute for the degree. - US citizenship required for eligibility.
