**Job Title:** Cloud Operations Manager (M/F)
**Role Summary:**
Lead the operational continuity of customer‑facing AWS cloud platforms. Ensure high availability, performance, security, and compliance for production environments using IaC, CI/CD, and ITIL processes. Act as the escalation owner for N2/N3 support and drive continuous improvement across cloud operations.
**Expectations:**
- 5 + years of production/operations experience, including 2 + years on AWS.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑project environments and to coordinate on‑call rotations.
- Strong leadership, service orientation and excellent communication with clients and internal teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and maintain the operational health of AWS infrastructures (EC2, RDS, S3, EKS, Lambda, Aurora, etc.).
- Plan, schedule, and manage on‑call rotations and service coverage.
- Ensure availability, performance, security, and business continuity of cloud platforms.
- Implement and oversee ITIL processes (incidents, problems, change, release).
- Coordinate N2/N3 support activities and technical escalations.
- Define, track, and report on SLAs, SLOs, and performance metrics.
- Design and test backup, DR (PRA/PCA) plans and conduct failover drills.
- Drive automation and industrialization of operations via IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, and project teams to align operational practices.
- Provide regular reporting and client communication on operational status and improvement initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in AWS services (compute, storage, databases, networking, IAM).
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS).
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, PowerShell.
- CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
- Monitoring & logging: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- ITIL v3/v4 knowledge.
- Agile mindset and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and prioritisation abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s (Bac+4) or Master’s (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- AWS certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
