Job Description
Job title: Lead DevSecOps Engineer Role Summary: Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of secure CI/CD pipelines for defense mission‑centric software. Oversee AWS and non‑AWS environments across multiple classification levels, ensure compliance with DoD standards, and advocate DevOps practices within Agile teams. Expectations: U.S. citizenship, active Secret clearance (TS preferred). Key Responsibilities: - Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (or equivalent). - Configure and manage AWS, Azure or GCP tooling in unclassified and classified environments. - Provision and secure environments via IaC tools (Ansible, Chef, Terraform). - Deploy, scale, and monitor containerized applications (Docker, Podman) on Kubernetes (EKS, Rancher). - Implement performance, security, and alerting configurations for all CI/CD environments. - Serve as liaison to corporate IT for infrastructure tool setup, reliability, and DoD compliance. - Educate engineering teams on DevOps fundamentals and improve software development processes. - Manage artifact repositories and code analysis pipelines (Nexus/Artifactory, SonarQube, Coverity). - Coordinate with project tracking tools (Jira) and oversee agile ceremonies when leading teams. Required Skills: - 5–7+ years of DevSecOps experience (or 3–5 years with an advanced degree). - Expertise in GitLab CI/CD, automated provisioning, and container orchestration. - Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP and tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef. - Strong Linux administration, Python, and shell scripting skills. - Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and compliance requirements. - Experience with Kubernetes cluster deployment, monitoring, and Pod configuration. - Effective communication with both technical and business audiences. - Familiarity with advisory roles in IT compliance is a plus.
