Job Description
Job title: Accounting Intern Role Summary: Provide support to the firm’s accounting and finance functions, maintaining books, preparing reports, and assisting with reconciliations and special projects for multiple portfolio entities. Expactations: - Early‑career student, preferably in the latter half of undergraduate studies in accounting. - Demonstrable academic competence in accounting principles and US GAAP. - Ability to operate ethically, collaboratively, and with high organizational standards. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain books and records for Hidden Harbor portfolio companies. - Monitor, update account balances, and generate account schedules. - Prepare operating reports and issue invoices. - Assist with bank and other reconciliations. - Undertake special projects and ad hoc analytical tasks assigned by the accounting team. - Create and update presentation materials for internal use. Required Skills: - Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and internal controls. - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; experience with QuickBooks or similar ERP preferred. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills. - High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professionalism. Required Education & Certifications: - Undergraduate enrollment in an accounting (or related) program, 3rd year or higher. - Valid CPA/ACCA certification not required but a major in accounting essential.
