Job Description
**Job Title:** Trade Analyst **Role Summary** Support investment operations and trading activities across equities, fixed income, and alternative assets, ensuring accuracy in trade execution, reconciliation, and compliance with operational standards. **Expectations** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field. - 1–3 years in investment operations, trade support, or financial analytical roles. - Canadian Securities Course (CSC) completion required. - Preferred: Associate Advising Representative (AAR) eligibility with Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). - Preferred: Pursuing or completed Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor trade execution and validate trade bookings for accuracy. - Reconcile daily trades and resolve discrepancies with custodians, brokers, and internal teams. - Provide pre- and post-trade analytics, pricing validation, exposure reports, and P&L attribution for portfolio managers. - Generate trading and performance reports for internal stakeholders at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals. - Enhance trade data integrity in portfolio/order management systems. - Support compliance checks, risk monitoring, and regulatory reporting aligned with investment guidelines. - Collaborate on process automation and operational improvements with the operations team. - Assist with audit requirements and maintain knowledge of market developments, tools, and regulations. **Required Skills** - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. - Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills. - Familiarity with financial instruments (equities, fixed income, alternatives) and trade lifecycle processes. - Knowledge of securities regulations and compliance procedures. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field. - Canadian Securities Course (CSC) certification. - Eligibility or registration as an Associate Advising Representative (AAR) with OSC preferred. - Pursuit or completion of CIM or CFA designation advantageous. - Experience with Bloomberg terminals, portfolio management systems, or order management systems (OMS) beneficial. - Programming skills (Python, SQL, VBA) considered an asset.
