Job Description
Job Title: Quality Inspector (Fixed-Term) Role Summary: Ensure conformance to company and regulatory quality standards across incoming materials and in‑process manufacturing of high‑speed maritime systems, including composites and electric drivetrain components. Expactations: - Deliver accurate inspections, audits, and test data. - Identify, document, and verify defect resolution. - Support continuous improvement via 8D/CAPA, 5S, Kaizen. - Facilitate communication between quality, manufacturing, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct scheduled inspections and testing of inbound and in‑process goods. - Record results, categorize and diagnose defects. - Validate rectified defects and update quality status. - Develop and maintain inspection methods, checklists, FMEA, and process sheets. - Analyze trend data to pre‑empt defects and coordinate corrective actions. - Lead internal/external quality reviews and customer issue resolution. - Calibrate measurement equipment per schedule. - Train new staff and apprentices in quality tools and safety. - Promote culture of quality, health & safety, and continuous improvement. Required Skills: - Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, 8D, CAPA, 5S, Kaizen). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation abilities. - Excellent writing, reporting, presenting, and influencing skills. - Effective stakeholder and supplier relationship management. - Ability to work collaboratively across cultures and teams. - Time‑management and project planning for high‑volume, high‑complexity processes. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum 3 years of inspection/testing experience in a high‑complexity, low‑volume manufacturing environment. - Proven work within a manufacturing quality function. - (Preferred) Experience with composite components, maritime and zero‑emission quality standards.
