Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Architect Role Summary: Design and implement Microsoft 365‑centric end‑user and identity platforms, defining zero‑trust / SASE architecture for a regulated, high‑security environment. Bridge strategy and delivery, influencing design decisions while maintaining close involvement in implementation. Expectations: - Deliver clear, pragmatic architecture designs from high‑level concepts to detailed specifications. - Provide architectural direction and assurance to delivery teams, challenging assumptions and ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards. - Analyze options and trade‑offs considering cost, risk, resilience, and operability. - Embed cyber security by design, including threat modelling and risk reduction. Key Responsibilities: - Shape end‑user compute and identity platforms centered on Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Power Platform. - Define and evolve zero‑trust / SASE architecture and security controls. - Create and maintain core architecture artefacts (identity flows, security patterns, standards). - Support delivery teams with architectural guidance, challenge, and assurance. - Assess and document trade‑offs across cost, risk, resilience, and operability. - Embed security by design, conduct threat modelling, and reduce risk. - Define technical standards and guardrails aligned to enterprise and regulatory requirements. Required Skills: - Proven experience as a Cloud or Enterprise Architect in complex, regulated environments. - Deep knowledge of Microsoft Cloud (M365, Azure, Entra ID, Power Platform). - Strong understanding of identity‑centric design and zero‑trust networking. - Experience designing end‑user compute and identity platforms at scale. - Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders. - Strong analytical skills, able to resolve ambiguity. - Experience operating in regulated or security‑conscious organizations. Nice to Have: - Okta or equivalent identity platform experience. - Exposure to Zscaler or similar zero‑trust/SASE technologies. - Public sector or heavily regulated industry background. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. - Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert. - Security Clearance (SC) required.
