**Sr. Director e-commerce Trade Services** **Role Summary** Oversees customs clearance, trade consultancy, and brokerage vendor management for European, UK, and Asian operations to ensure compliant and cost-effective international freight movement. **Expectations** Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years in customs brokerage. Expertise in EU customs laws, BE/UK customs, and business stakeholder management. Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English required. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage customs clearance teams/vendors in Europe, UK, and Asia. - Coordinate customs brokerage services for import/export/transit and expand broker solutions. - Develop trade solutions to generate revenue and optimize customs processes. - Ensure compliance with EU, UK, and Asian customs legislation. - Collaborate with regulatory agencies to secure permits/licenses. - Advise clients on customs classifications, fiscal representation, and legal compliance. - Lead cross-functional teams to design new customs products/services. - Maintain financial accountability for customs transactions. **Required Skills** - Advanced knowledge of customs procedures, EU/UK laws, and freight/postal logistics. - Strategic business development, risk mitigation, and team leadership. - Stakeholder negotiation, cross-border collaboration, and sales expertise. - Technical proficiency in customs software and MS Office. **Required Education & Certifications** - Master’s degree or equivalent in logistics, international trade, or related field. - 10+ years of experience in customs brokerage, with EU/UK regulatory focus.
