Job Title: Senior Director of Finance
Role Summary
Lead the organization’s Strategic Finance, FP&A, and Accounting functions. Partner directly with founders to drive capital allocation, investor communication, and long‑term financial planning. Own and evolve the company’s financial model, core metrics, and operating processes to support scale into category leadership.

- Deliver consistent, accurate quarterly and annual planning.
- Establish reliable, audit‑ready FP&A and accounting processes.
- Enhance board and investor materials with strategic depth.
- Align operating metrics and unit economics with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
1. **Strategic Finance** – Build and maintain long‑term financial models; develop prioritization, pricing, and market expansion frameworks; advise co‑founders and board on capital strategy and investor communications.
2. **FP&A** – Own forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis; translate financial insights into operational recommendations for Product, Engineering, GTM, and Operations; define and track core SaaS metrics (CAC payback, LTV/CAC, Magic Number, NRR, cohort behavior).
3. **Accounting** – Oversee accounting quality and close cadence; ensure audit readiness, compliance, and scalable processes; partner with accounting manager to maintain data hygiene and accuracy.
4. **Capital Strategy & Transactions** – Evaluate M&A, partnership deals; lead financial diligence, modeling, and integration planning; prepare board and fundraising materials.
5. **Cross‑Functional Leadership** – Act as a thought partner to senior executives; conduct build vs. buy analyses; spearhead strategic projects requiring analytical depth and operational execution.
Required Skills
- 8+ years in B2B SaaS finance, with experience in investment banking, private equity, or high‑caliber strategic finance.
- Expert in financial modeling, valuation, unit economics, and scenario analysis.
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (CAC payback, LTV/CAC, Magic Number, NRR, cohort analysis).
- Proven ability to own FP&A and strategic finance functions and partner closely with accounting.
- Strong communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information and influence senior leaders.
- Builder mindset with autonomy and accountability in a fast‑paced, founder‑led environment.
- Business judgment that connects financial decisions to product, team, and long‑term value.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- CPA, CFA, or similar professional certifications are advantageous.
