Job Description
**Job title**: Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Maritime OT & Operations **Role Summary**: Lead execution and support of OT and IT cybersecurity initiatives for maritime vessels and terminals. Act as subject‑matter expert on maritime cyber risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards while driving remediation projects and infrastructure improvements. **Expectations**: Deliver measurable risk reduction, maintain change‑management compliant configurations, and collaborate cross‑functionally to secure operational environments. Travel up to 50% across Western U.S. (Phoenix, San Francisco, Honolulu, Chicago). **Key Responsibilities** - Oversee OT cybersecurity initiatives in shipboard and shoreside settings. - Plan, track, and execute remediation of OT vulnerabilities and defects. - Recommend infrastructure upgrades to Operations and InfoSec teams. - Coordinate with IT, InfoSec, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering groups. - Research & evaluate emerging maritime cybersecurity technologies. - Develop secure solutions tailored to client context. - Define system requirements, produce specifications and architectural designs. - Generate performance metrics reporting business impact and risk reduction. - Configure, maintain, and document secure OT and IT systems following change‑management policies. **Required Skills** - 5+ years engineering experience in maritime or related OT environments. - Strong risk‑based remediation prioritization. - Excellent organization, multitasking, and deadline adherence. - Effective communication of complex security concepts to diverse audiences. - Collaborative mindset for cross‑functional teamwork. - Knowledge of NIST CSF framework. - 3‑5 years backend development experience with Java. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. - OT/ICS/SCADA cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CMCP, ISA CAp, Certified Control Systems Technician) highly desired. - Willingness to travel up to 50% across Western U.S. regions.
