Job Description
Job Title: Event and Communication Project Manager Role Summary: Design, plan, and execute sporting events while managing multichannel communication strategy to boost site visibility, partner satisfaction, and brand coherence. Oversee event logistics, budgeting, safety, and post‑event reporting within a multi‑service environment. Expactations: Deliver professionally coordinated events that meet safety, budget, and brand standards; manage media relations and digital presence; provide actionable communication insights; maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance; collaborate cross‑functionally to align objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Define and implement multichannel communication strategy (print, digital, media, on‑ground). - Lead media relations, create press kits, and manage press coverage. - Oversee social media activation and sponsor coordination in partnership with service heads. - Plan, organize, and supervise event execution, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and timelines. - Produce post‑event content, analyze digital metrics, and report on press returns. - Create visual and branding assets for events using Canva. - Coordinate with internal departments (logistics, marketing, finance) to synchronize efforts. - Respond to emergencies and manage on‑site contingencies effectively. Required Skills: - Strong project management and organizational abilities. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management. - Deep understanding of sports event logistics, safety, and crowd flow. - Proficiency with Canva, Trello, and standard office tools. - Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues. - Analytical skills for evaluating media performance and digital outreach. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum Bac+4 to Bac+5 (Bachelor’s to Master’s) in Communication, Marketing, Sport Business, Event Management or related discipline. - Knowledge of public institution regulations (tendering, safety, public domain use) preferred.
