Business Analyst - Underwriting Transformation
**Role Summary**
Analyze and optimize end‑to‑end underwriting workflows within Lloyd’s of London syndicates, support system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives, and drive process automation while ensuring regulatory compliance and adoption of market modernization standards.
**Expectations**
- Deliver clear, detailed business requirement documentation aligned with Blueprint Two and broader market modernization objectives.
- Facilitate workshops and drive stakeholder alignment across underwriting, operations, actuarial, claims, and compliance groups.
- Translate underwriting needs into actionable technical and operational solutions for PAS platforms, underwriting workbenches, and bordereaux management systems.
- Champion change adoption, maintaining Lloyd’s performance standards and data integrity.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Partner with underwriting, operations, bordereaux, and change teams across Lloyd’s syndicates.
- Map, analyze, and redesign underwriting processes, including Delegated Authority and Cover‑holder arrangements.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements for system enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Support integration and enhancement of PAS, underwriting workbench, and bordereaux systems.
- Drive process automation projects and improve data quality and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions with underwriters, actuaries, claims, and compliance stakeholders.
- Ensure successful change adoption and maintain regulatory and Lloyd’s performance standards.
**Required Skills**
- Proven Business Analyst experience within Lloyd’s or London Market insurance environment.
- Deep knowledge of Delegated Authority, bordereaux processes, and syndicate operations.
- Strong analytical, process‑mapping, and requirement‑elicitation skills.
- Experience with Blueprint Two or similar market modernization initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication abilities.
- Commercial awareness and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with digital transformation, automation tools, and data integrity practices.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or equivalent is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s market frameworks and regulatory environment.
