Job Title: DevOps Architect
Role Summary:
Act as the senior technical leader responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-grade, multi‑tier solutions across cloud and on‑premise environments while ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.
Expectations:
- Mature, 15+ years of IT experience with proven enterprise architecture and integration expertise.
- Strong business‑technology alignment, stakeholder engagement, and clear communication to senior executives.
- Hands‑on technical authority in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps tooling, IaC, and container orchestration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture design, implementation, and governance for complex, hybrid or multi‑cloud solutions.
- Translate executive business priorities into technology roadmaps and actionable architecture plans.
- Define and enforce architecture standards, frameworks, and best‑practice practices across development, integration, and infrastructure teams.
- Evaluate and proof‑of‑concept emerging technologies; recommend adoption strategies.
- Oversee solution delivery from concept through deployment, ensuring security, compliance, and performance benchmarks are met.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with DevOps, Development, Security, Data, and Operations to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Provide architectural guidance during pre‑sales activities (RFP responses, proposal creation, client presentations).
- Mentor and coach junior architects, engineers, and developers on design principles and best practices.
- Advocate for technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives in partnership with IT leadership.
Required Skills:
- Extensive cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- Deep expertise in DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, API design, enterprise integration patterns.
- Significant experience with security frameworks, identity management, network architecture, and data governance.
- Proven ability to lead architecture governance boards and define enterprise standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
