Overview
The Senior Solutions Architect plays a strategic role in designing and delivering enterprise-grade technology solutions that align with business objectives and long-term IT strategy. With deep expertise across cloud, infrastructure, and application domains, this role provides technical leadership, architectural governance, and innovation to enable scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture design and implementation of complex, multi-tier solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
Engage with executive stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable technology roadmaps.
Define and maintain architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices across development, integration, and infrastructure.
Evaluate emerging technologies, perform proof of concepts (POCs), and recommend adoption strategies.
Oversee solution delivery from inception through deployment, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and performance benchmarks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams — DevOps, Development, Security, Data, and Operations — to ensure solution consistency and reliability.
Provide architectural guidance during pre-sales, including RFP responses, solution proposals, and client presentations.
Mentor junior architects, engineers, and developers on architectural design and best practices.
Ensure reusability, standardization, and cost efficiency across all solution architectures.
Act as a key advisor to IT leadership on technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in solution design, enterprise systems, and technology integration.
Proven experience architecting large-scale applications and distributed systems in hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Expertise in AWS, Azure, with solid understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models.
Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and enterprise integration patterns.
Deep understanding of security frameworks, identity management, network architecture, and data governance.
Experience leading architecture governance boards and defining enterprise technology standards.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to senior executives.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Cloud certifications such as:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Experience working in enterprise environments, consulting firms, or global delivery models.
Exposure to Agile/SAFe frameworks and large-scale digital transformation programs.
