Job Description
**Job Title** Project Communications Manager (Contractor) **Role Summary** Design, execute and oversee the integrated communications strategy for a major building‑works programme. Act as the single point of contact for all programme communications, ensuring timely, consistent, and brand‑aligned messaging across internal and external audiences while safeguarding reputation and stakeholder confidence. **Expectations** - Deliver a cohesive communications plan that reflects the client’s brand, values and regulatory priorities. - Serve as trusted adviser to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams, providing clear briefings and strategic input. - Manage all aspects of programme communication, from planning to crisis response, using advanced technology and AI tools to optimise reach and effectiveness. - Maintain rigorous documentation, metrics and continuous improvement of processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and implement a joined‑up programme communications strategy. - Brief senior leaders and stakeholders on key initiatives, reputation risks and messaging opportunities. - Produce audience‑specific content across multiple channels, aligning with internal communications tone and calendar. - Provide written support for planning applications, statements and other programme documents. - Coordinate brand asset creation and maintenance with Marketing and external suppliers. - Facilitate open, timely engagement with employees, contractors and other audiences. - Lead crisis management, delivering solutions‑focused messaging and coordination. - Advise and influence senior executives and cross‑functional teams. - Champion best practice, set new standards and document all processes. - Leverage technology and AI to keep communications modern and effective. **Required Skills** - Extensive communications experience in complex or regulated environments. - Exceptional written and verbal communication, with ability to distil complex information. - Strong organisational and planning skills; ownership from start to finish. - Proven crisis response and reputation‑management expertise. - Analytical mindset; use of metrics to refine strategy. - Ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, technical teams and contractors. - Passion for innovative, tech‑ and AI‑enabled communications solutions. - Detail‑oriented, robust process and record‑keeping. - Calm under pressure and adept at managing sensitive issues. - Self‑motivated, result‑focused, with continuous‑improvement mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CCA, PRSA, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
