Job Description
**Job title:** Materials Engineering Internship – Sales Support & Technical Training (M/F) **Role Summary:** Short‑term internship (4–6 months) supporting sales teams and providing technical training on high‑temperature laboratory furnaces (CVD, RTP, HIP, PVD, etc.). Interns will engage in customer follow‑up, product compliance checks, quotation assistance, and hands‑on learning of furnace operation and advanced thermal processes. **Expectations:** - Current Master’s‑level engineering or university student (Bac+4 to Bac+5). - Specialisation in materials science, physics, materials chemistry or related field. - Strong analytical mindset, technical curiosity, meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent written and spoken technical English; clear communication skills. **Key Responsibilities:** *Sales Support* - Track and follow up on laboratory equipment and consumable sales. - Verify product conformity against technical specifications, accessories, and documentation. - Analyse customer needs and maintain updated sales databases. - Assist in quotation preparation and provide first‑level technical support. *Technical Learning & Training* - **Phase 1:** Study furnace operation essentials – heating elements, thermocouples, vacuum & insulation systems. - Evaluate material selection (quartz, alumina, SiC, etc.) based on temperature range, mechanical constraints, and thermal properties. - **Phase 2:** Gain familiarity with advanced thermal processing methods (CVD, PVD, ALD, RTP, HIP, melting & crystal‑growth furnaces). - Understand physical principles and technical requirements of each process. **Required Skills:** - Analytical data‑review and product‑compliance skills. - Basic knowledge of high‑temperature furnace components and materials. - Customer‑centric communication; ability to distill technical information for non‑technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in technical English (reading, writing, speaking). - Effective time management and ability to work collaboratively with sales and technical teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a Master’s‑level engineering program or equivalent (Bac+4–Bac+5). - Field of study: Materials Science, Physics, Materials Chemistry, or a closely related discipline. - No specific certifications mandatory.
