Job Description

Job title: Onsite IT Technician Role Summary: Provide on‑site technical support and project implementation for clients’ IT environments, including server upgrades, Windows deployments, firewall configuration, and network upgrades, while ensuring compliance with best practices and standards. Expactations: - Deliver timely, high‑quality onsite support and project deliverables. - Communicate effectively with clients and remote NOC/SOC teams. - Maintain clear documentation and adhere to ticketing processes. Key Responsibilities: - Install, upgrade, and migrate servers (Windows Server, Hyper‑V, VMware). - Deploy and configure Windows 10/11 workstations, imaging, domain joins, and user profile migrations. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls (Meraki, FortiGate, SonicWall, etc.). - Execute network upgrades, including switching, Wi‑Fi, and cabling validation. - Provide onsite resolution of critical escalations from the service desk. - Document all changes, configurations, and project work in ticketing/documentation systems. - Collaborate with remote NOC/SOC to identify and remediate security or performance issues. - Ensure client infrastructure aligns with company standards and best practices. - Travel to client sites as required. Required Skills: - 3–5 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure or field service experience. - Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Office 365. - Experience configuring firewall platforms (Fortinet, Meraki, SonicWall). - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPNs, subnets, routing). - Problem‑solving and customer‑service skills. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel. Required Education & Certifications: - CompTIA Network+ or Security+ (preferred) - Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator (preferred) - Fortinet NSE 4 or Cisco CCNA (preferred)
