Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Deliver highly available, secure, and scalable systems while collaborating closely with development teams to optimize deployment processes.
Expectations:
- Deliver reliable, production‑grade automation within agreed timelines.
- Maintain high system uptime, monitoring coverage, and quick incident resolution.
- Consistently enforce security and compliance controls across all infrastructure and pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS, Azure, or GCP resources via IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
- Implement Docker containers and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Configure comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or GCP Operations).
- Collaborate with development teams to refine deployment strategies and reduce lead times.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis of production incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Produce and update technical documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational procedures.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
- Knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Hands‑on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
- Competence in containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑resolution abilities.
- Understanding of security best practices for infrastructure and pipelines.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions, GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) are advantageous but not mandatory.
