Job Description
**Job Title:** Internship – PFAS Risk Analysis & Data Validation **Role Summary:** Graduate‑level intern in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science/Engineering to evaluate AI‑generated PFAS risk assessments, curate industry material tagging, and support AI model validation. Works with large chemical datasets, documents findings, and collaborates across interdisciplinary teams. **Expectations:** - Verify accuracy of AI‑generated PFAS risk insights. - Curate and tag industrial products for PFAS relevance to expand the company knowledge base. - Test AI outputs, suggest improvements, and prepare clean data for training. - Communicate technical results clearly in written reports and presentations. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Review and validate AI‑driven PFAS risk assessments using scientific literature and regulatory sources. 2. Screen, curate, and tag industrial materials/products for PFAS usage; enhance the PFAS knowledge base. 3. Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to test models, validate chemical results, and recommend accuracy enhancements. 4. Organize, analyze, and clean large datasets in Excel/Google Sheets for AI training and reporting. 5. Summarize findings and insights into concise documents or PowerPoint decks for internal and customer-facing use. 6. Participate in brainstorming, customer calls, and technical discussions, providing PFAS expertise. **Required Skills:** - Strong PFAS industry knowledge (applications, materials, supply‑chain impacts, regulatory drivers). - Analytical experience with chemical datasets in Excel/Google Sheets. - Excellent verbal and written English communication; ability to simplify complex data. - Collaborative mindset; ability to work across cross‑functional teams. - Basic familiarity with AI/enterprise software concepts (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Pursuing or recently completed a graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field. - Knowledge of EPA TSCA, TRI, REACH, or similar PFAS regulations (preferred). ---
