EcoPulse is at the forefront of innovation, integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence to help industrial companies assess and manage PFAS (“forever chemicals”) chemical risks, ensuring compliance with EPA and global regulations.

We are seeking a graduate-level intern (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science/Engineering) with strong knowledge of PFAS applications and industrial product usage. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about both applied chemistry and enterprise software, eager to work on real-world PFAS risk analysis and expand AI-powered solutions for global industries.

Key Responsibilities:

PFAS Risk Review & Validation

Review PFAS risk assessments generated by our AI model, verify accuracy, and research supporting evidence from scientific and regulatory sources.

Knowledge Base Expansion

Support the team in screening, curating, and tagging industrial materials/products for PFAS relevance to build and enhance EcoPulse’s PFAS knowledge base.

AI Model Support

Collaborate with AI engineers to test model outputs, validate chemical results, and suggest improvements to accuracy and coverage.

Data Handling

Organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets using Excel/Google Sheets; prepare clean datasets for AI training and reporting.

Communication & Collaboration

Summarize findings and insights into clear, concise documentation or presentations (PPT/Word) for internal use and customer-facing materials as needed.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and customer calls, contributing technical PFAS expertise and communication skills.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, or a related field.

Solid knowledge of PFAS usage in industries (applications, materials, supply chain impacts, and regulatory drivers).

Familiarity with industrial materials/products and supply chain considerations.

Strong analytical skills with proven experience handling and interpreting chemical datasets in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.

Interest in or exposure to AI/enterprise software applications.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written English); able to simplify complex findings for technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaborative mindset and ability to work with teams across US and Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience conducting chemical data research and screening (CAS numbers, chemical structures, concentration levels).

Familiarity with EPA TSCA, TRI, REACH, or similar PFAS regulations.

Exposure to AI/ML workflows or data tagging processes.

Knowledge of software development lifecycles or Agile methodologies.
