Job Title: Business Analyst
Role Summary: Serve as a bridge between business strategy and technology, translating strategic objectives into actionable requirements, facilitating cross‑functional workshops, and ensuring alignment through design, development, testing, and deployment of IT solutions.
Expectations: Deliver clear, measurable business requirements, develop and maintain BRDs, translate business needs into user stories, lead backlog grooming, collaborate with IT on testing and validation, and communicate progress, risks, and change approvals to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders to understand objectives and craft measurable requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and document requirements for Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Product teams.
- Create and maintain BRDs, process flows, and user stories in Jira/Confluence.
- Conduct backlog grooming, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate with developers and QA to validate functionality against acceptance criteria.
- Generate test scenarios, participate in UAT, document results, and track defects.
- Monitor post‑release adoption, verify success metrics, and report outcomes to stakeholders.
- Serve as liaison for governance, change management, and traceability from strategy to delivery.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years as Business Analyst or similar in a technology‑driven or marketing‑focused organization.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum, user story creation, backlog management, and grooming.
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Smartsheet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or equivalent preferred.
