Director, Health Strategy
**Role Summary**
Lead a multidisciplinary team of medical writers and strategists to develop scientifically accurate, regulatory‑compliant educational and promotional content for prescription products. Serve as the senior medical & strategic advisor to clients across North America, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, regulatory standards, and client expectations. Drive operational excellence, mentorship, and business development within the Health Strategy function.
**Expectations**
- Provide senior‑level strategic and medical guidance to clients.
- Exhibit deep expertise across multiple therapeutic areas, including maternity coverage.
- Translate complex medical information into clear, persuasive messaging.
- Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory requirements in Canada, the U.S., and other markets.
- Demonstrate leadership in team management, professional development, and cross‑functional collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Serve as primary client contact for strategic and medical matters.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate medical writers and strategists on brand projects (campaigns, websites, reports, presentations, digital and print collateral).
- Research, write, self‑edit, reference, and update promotional and educational materials for high‑level strategic initiatives.
- Liaise with internal teams (Client Service, Analytics, Data, Account Management, Creative) and external regulators to ensure compliance.
- Proofread senior‑level layouts for medical and scientific accuracy.
- Provide strategic direction to solve brand, market, and regulatory challenges.
- Conduct weekly Health Strategy Management meetings and contribute process improvement insights.
- Line‑manage 1–3 Health Strategists/Senior Health Strategists; collaborate with global peers.
- Drive business development: contribute to RFPs, new business pitches, and cross‑functional opportunities.
- Participate in global thought‑leadership initiatives for the Americas and worldwide audiences.
- Undertake special projects and travel as required.

- Leadership and team management.
- Strong scientific/medical background in pharmaceuticals, with expertise in maternity and related therapeutic areas.
- In‑depth knowledge of regulatory requirements (Canada, U.S., and other markets).
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making.
- Superior written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex data into clear messages.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical medical communications or health strategy, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Certification in Medical Affairs or Regulatory Affairs is a plus.
