Job Description

**Job Title** Finance & Operations Director **Role Summary** Lead and shape the financial and operational strategy of a high‑growth SaaS education‑technology company. Oversee P&L, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls while partnering closely with the CEO and commercial teams to drive profitability, data‑driven decision making, and scalable operational processes. **Expactations** • Deliver robust financial strategy and reporting that supports rapid scaling • Build and refine operational systems for efficiency and growth • Provide timely, accurate financial insights to commercial and executive leadership • Mentor and develop junior finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability • Represent the finance function in board and investor communications **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Financial Leadership** – Own P&L, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and financial controls. 2. **Metrics & Reporting** – Maintain accurate SaaS KPI reporting (ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, net retention) and support business decisions with reliable data. 3. **Operational Oversight** – Ensure efficient day‑to‑day operations, including onboarding, billing, renewals, and customer communication processes. 4. **Commercial Collaboration** – Work with Sales and Customer Success to improve conversion, renewal, and retention. 5. **Strategic Support** – Translate CEO’s strategic goals into financial and operational plans; provide financial modelling, scenario analysis, board reporting, and investor updates. 6. **Team & Culture** – Manage and mentor a Finance Junior; promote cross‑departmental communication and alignment. **Required Skills** - Senior finance management (budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow, P&L) - Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and ARR models - Advanced Excel, financial modelling, and analytical capabilities - Strong cross‑functional collaboration and communication - Leadership and mentorship of finance team members **Required Education & Certifications** - Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent senior finance experience - Minimum 3 years in a senior finance or commercial operations role within a SaaS or recurring‑revenue business - Demonstrated experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff and overseeing full accounting cycle.
