Job title: Manager Networking Operations and Engineering
Role Summary: Lead and manage enterprise‑wide network operations, ensuring secure, high‑performance, and highly available infrastructure for clinical and business applications. Drive strategy, modernization, and automation, while aligning network initiatives with organizational goals and managing a senior technical team.
Expactations: Deliver continuous, reliable network services in a 24/7 environment; demonstrate measurable ROI on network investments; maintain compliance with healthcare regulations; and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, customer service excellence, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily Network Management and Operations functions to sustain critical system performance.
- Plan, deploy, and manage the full lifecycle of network infrastructure, including standards, upgrades, migrations, and redesigns.
- Define and execute network strategy, assess emerging technologies, and recommend adoption plans.
- Ensure secure, high‑availability architecture across routers, switches, wireless, firewalls, and appliances.
- Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, conducting regular tests.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and enforce service level agreements.
- Develop and control budgets, financial plans, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a high‑performing, multidisciplinary network engineering team.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to align network services with organizational needs.
Required Skills:

- Vendor management and contract negotiation proficiency.
- Expertise in network architecture, protocols, automation, patch management, and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred).
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems (Epic, Cerner), cybersecurity, and clinical operations.
- Familiarity with ITSM, ITIL, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–7 years of IT management or professional experience supporting enterprise‑scale network infrastructure, preferably in healthcare.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Azure Administrator, ITIL Foundation) are advantageous.
