Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Senior professional responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric environments for enterprise workloads. Oversees infrastructure as code, security controls, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and observability across the cloud stack.
Expactations: • Minimum 10–15 years total IT experience, with 5+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Proven expertise with Azure, Databricks, and Fabric in large‑scale, data‑centric deployments.
• Strong Terraform proficiency for IaC and pipeline automation.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security (IAM, network security, encryption, compliance).
• Experience with observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, platform‑specific monitoring).
• Ability to assess and implement cost optimization and performance improvements.
• Excellent collaboration with cross‑functional teams (Data Engineering, Architecture, DevOps).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, implement and maintain Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric infrastructures.
• Build and manage IaC repositories using Terraform, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
• Configure and enforce security policies, IAM, network segmentation, and encryption.
• Manage storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies for mission‑critical systems.
• Design and maintain VNETs, subnets, routing, private links, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting dashboards, and optimize observability pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps to support platform enhancements.
• Identify and drive cost‑optimization opportunities and architectural improvements.
Required Skills: • Microsoft Azure fundamentals and advanced cloud services.
• Terraform for IaC provisioning.
• Cloud security: IAM, network security, encryption, compliance.
• Backup and disaster recovery in Azure.
• Networking: VNET, subnets, routing, VPN, ExpressRoute, private links.
• Observability: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Application Insights, Databricks and Fabric monitoring.
• CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
• FinOps concepts and cloud cost governance.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent) highly desirable.
