Job Description
Job Title: Senior Growth Engineer Role Summary: Build, maintain, and optimize end‑to‑end data pipelines that enable accurate digital marketing attribution and reporting. Provide technical guidance to clients on event instrumentation, analytics tooling, and data integration across web, mobile, e‑commerce, and CRM platforms. Deliver clean, scalable software solutions on cloud infrastructure while collaborating closely with marketing and client success teams. Expectations: - 3+ years in data engineering or analytics within a marketing or digital advertising context. - Proven ability to architect and deliver Python‑based data ingestion, API integration, and analytics workflows on GCP. - Strong client‑facing communication; able to workshop requirements, present findings, and translate business questions into technical solutions. - Ability to work semi‑autonomously in a fully remote, cross‑time‑zone environment, delivering clear, concise documentation and synchronous/asynchronous updates. Key Responsibilities: - Advise clients and media buying teams on event instrumentation (e.g., Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions). - Validate and troubleshoot analytics pipelines in GTM, AppsFlyer, and other MMPs. - Write Python scripts for data ingestion, API callbacks, OAuth endpoints, and integration with Facebook/Google conversion APIs. - Build SQL data pipelines using dbt on BigQuery; create and maintain Looker dashboards and custom BI visualizations (HTML/CSS/JS + Vue). - Investigate data discrepancies, resolve pipeline/reporting issues, and perform attribution analysis (e.g., Meta GeoLift, ML models in Jupyter). - Collaborate with engineering, design, and client success teams to deliver actionable insights and recommendations. Required Skills: - Python (data engineering, API development, or data science) – experience managing end‑to‑end projects. - SQL fundamentals; write analytical queries, dbt models in BigQuery. - Git (GitLab) version control; collaborative code practices. - Web technologies: HTTP cookies, REST APIs, HTML/CSS/JS, browser‑to‑server communication. - Cloud: GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Cloud Storage); familiarity with AWS optional. - Marketing attribution tools: MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, etc.), channel conversion APIs (Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions), tag managers (GTM). - BI tools: Looker; experience building dashboards and visualizations. - Optional: Snowflake; experience with data warehouse ops. - Knowledge of statistics, time‑series regression, and basic ML for attribution modeling. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - No mandatory certifications, but familiarity with GCP/Docker/CI tools is a plus.
