Job Description
Job title: Contracts Manager Role Summary: Lead and manage multiple construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality and safety standards. Provide strategic oversight, mentor teams, influence design, and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers. Expactations: Demonstrated ability to handle concurrent projects, a deep understanding of D&B (Design & Build) contracts, and proven leadership in driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement across sites. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and control multiple schemes, guaranteeing safety, schedule, cost, and quality achievements. - Lead, mentor, and motivate site and project teams to maintain consistent performance. - Collaborate with commercial, technical, and customer‑service functions to align project objectives. - Ensure health & safety compliance and ISO quality adherence on all sites. - Champion value engineering, buildability, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Build and nurture relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain. Required Skills: - Strong project leadership with experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously. - Expertise in D&B contracts and project planning tools (e.g., ASTA Power Projects). - Background in residential or mixed‑use developments (groundworks, civil engineering, RC frame). - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities. - Ability to drive health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Education & Certifications: - Degree or equivalent experience in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (preferred). - SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and First Aid certifications. - CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) membership or equivalent (desirable).
