**Job Title:** Loan/Credit Administration Officer
**Role Summary:**
Provide day‑to‑day administration of loan and credit facilities, ensuring compliance with facility terms, accurate documentation, security management, and timely processing of account openings, amendments, and closures for a 12‑month maternity cover.
**Expectations:**
- Maintain accurate loan database and security records daily.
- Ensure all credit facility and security documentation is prepared, checked, filed, and stored securely.
- Liaise effectively with Relationship Managers, Assistant Relationship Managers, and Agent Banks.
- Apply strong analytical and Excel skills to monitor commitments, drawdowns, fees, and repayments.
- Uphold UK banking regulations and internal controls throughout the assignment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Verify compliance with terms and conditions of facility letters.
- Prepare, issue, track, and lodge credit facility and security documents.
- Review LMA Trade Agreements, calculate break funding, set up loan structures, and monitor non‑utilisation fees.
- Update loan database with commitments, drawdowns, rollovers, repayment schedules, interest rates, and expiry dates.
- Administer drawdowns, rollovers, payments, charges, interest, fees, and loan reductions; generate and send interest advices.
- Ensure proper recording, safe custody, and insurance of security, especially property, with first‑loss payee designation.
- Maintain syndicated loan spreadsheets and process related payments.
- Provide full support to Relationship Managers on credit administration matters.
**Required Skills:**
- 2–3 years loan/credit administration experience in a bank or financial institution (property finance exposure preferred).
- Proven experience with credit facility and security documentation.
- Strong knowledge of LMA Trade Agreements.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder‑management/negotiation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Relevant secondary education (e.g., A‑levels) or higher; degree not mandatory but preferred in Finance, Business, or related field.
- No specific certifications required; professional banking qualifications (e.g., ICA, CIMA) are advantageous.
- Full UK working rights and prior UK work experience.
