Job Description: **Job title:** Founding Investment Banker – AI‑Powered M&A **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI‑enhanced M&A support workflows for a startup that delivers “investment banking in a box.” The role blends hands‑on M&A expertise with product and AI strategy, driving the quality and methodology of AI analysts that support sell‑side and buy‑side mandates. Positions you on a trajectory toward broader leadership as the company scales. **Expectations:** - Deliver high‑impact results on real client mandates while shaping AI technology. - Exercise extreme ownership, maintain rigorous quality standards, and translate complex deal processes into scalable, AI‑driven solutions. - Own the customer experience from CIM creation to deal close, iterating on product features that solve real advisor pain points. - Mentor and manage junior analysts, fostering a culture of excellence within an early‑stage environment. - Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and GTM teams to keep technical direction aligned with advisor needs. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Translate traditional M&A workflows (pitch decks, CIMs, teasers, data rooms, Q&A, diligence) into AI‑augmented processes. 2. Lead AI analyst design decisions for sell‑side and buy‑side mandates, setting functional specifications and quality benchmarks. 3. Own the end‑to‑end customer lifecycle: develop material templates, manage data room content, oversee diligence coordination, and ensure on‑time delivery. 4. Conduct live mandate work with senior M&A advisors to prototype, test, and refine AI capabilities. 5. Partner with product and engineering to prioritize features, relay advisor feedback, and validate commercial impact. 6. Build and coach a junior analyst/associate team, ensuring alignment with firm standards and technology adoption. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 3 years investment banking or M&A advisory experience, focused on lower‑middle or middle market deals. - Proven sell‑side track record: CIM and pitch deck creation, diligence management, and closing experience across multiple sectors. - Strong command of deal documentation (CIMs, teasers, Q&A, data rooms). - Experience running processes, managing deal workflows, and training junior staff. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and owning outcomes in an early‑stage startup setting. - Basic knowledge of AI/LLMs and enthusiasm for integrating emerging technology into financial workflows. - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with senior bankers and business owners. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. - Professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus but not mandatory.
