About Analyst3
Analyst3 is a vertical AI company building an “investment banking team in a box” to help small M&A advisory teams scale their operations without adding headcount, and our long-term vision is to compress deal timelines from months to days. We’re a VC-backed, early-stage, Toronto-based startup working at the intersection of M&A, AI, and vertical SaaS.
You’d be joining a small founding team with deep experience across M&A, AI, GTM, and vertical market SaaS. You won’t be “the banker off to the side” – you’ll play a crucial, leading role in how our platform of AI analysts is built and how we support M&A advisors. This role is designed to put you on a path to a future leadership role within the company as we grow.

What You’ll Do
Turn real-world workflows that power M&A deals into AI-powered workflows by helping design and build highly specialized AI agents.
Lead the work that drives key decisions on how our AI analysts execute sell-side and buy-side mandates for our customers.
Own the quality bar for how our AI analysts support deals – from CIMs, teasers, and outreach through diligence, data rooms, and overall process management.
Work with customers (senior M&A advisors) on live mandates to prove and improve how we operate.
Partner closely with the team on product direction, keeping us focused on problems that actually matter to M&A advisors.
Who You Are
Ideal Experience
3+ years in investment banking or M&A advisory, focused on the lower middle market or middle market
Hands-on sell-side experience from building pitch decks and CIMs, through managing diligence and closing deals
Strong track record building and reviewing CIMs and deal materials across multiple industries
Direct experience running processes and managing diligence (data rooms, Q&A, related workstreams)
Experience managing and training junior analysts/associates
Bonus: experience working at an early stage startup
Mindset & Skills
Interested in early-stage startups and comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity
Comfortable with extreme ownership, high standards, and being accountable for outcomes
Familiar with or curious about AI and LLMs, and interested in using and shaping them in your daily work
Understands the nuances of working with senior bankers and business owners
Based in Toronto or willing to relocate, and prefers working in person with the team
Bonus: you’ve read at least one startup book (e.g., The Lean Startup by Eric Reese)
Why Join Analyst3
Work on a real, high-stakes problem in M&A and business succession
Use your deal experience to design how AI-powered M&A should work, instead of reacting to it from the sidelines
Join an ambitious, hard-working team that values trust, honesty, and integrity, where your judgment directly shapes the product and the company
Build a role that can grow into broader leadership as the company scales
Equity in a VC-backed, early-stage AI company that’s reshaping a $100B+ industry
