Job Description: Job title: Computational Designer Role Summary: Design and develop computational tools and algorithms for dynamic spatial artifacts. Integrate parametric modeling, AI, and robotics into design workflows while conducting research and prototyping real‑time systems. Key Responsibilities: - Create parametric models and algorithmic frameworks using Rhino, Grasshopper, or equivalent. - Research computational geometry techniques and apply them to spatial design challenges. - Develop and maintain scripts in Python, C++, or JavaScript for design automation. - Integrate AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) into design processes. - Prototype and test robotics or mechatronic components within architectural contexts. - Collaborate with architects, engineers, and technologists to refine design specifications. - Document methodologies, code, and experimental results for internal use and publication. - Mentor junior designers on computational methods and best practices.
