Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site or remote role located in Oxford for a Computational Designer. The Computational Designer will work at the intersection of technology and design, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, create, and develop computational tools and algorithms for spatial artifacts. Tasks include designing parametric models, conducting research on computational design systems, and integrating innovative technologies like AI and robotics into design workflows. The role involves a hands-on approach to prototyping and experimentation in real-time dynamic systems.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Parametric Design and Algorithm Development
Experience with Computational Geometry and 3D Modeling Tools (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, or similar)
Knowledge of Programming Languages applicable to Design (e.g., Python, C++, JavaScript)
Understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning frameworks and their application in design processes
Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Experience in robotics or mechatronics is highly desirable
Master’s degree or higher in Architecture, Computational Design, Robotics, or related fields
Passion for innovation and interest in research within design and technology
