Job Title: Business Analyst Role Summary: Independent analyst responsible for translating complex customer workflows and product requirements into actionable specifications and user stories. Works cross‑functionally with product, development, support, and customers to ensure alignment, quality, and continuous improvement of the software platform. Expectations: - Act as the primary liaison between customers, product, and technical teams. - Demonstrate ownership of feature definition, configuration, testing, and documentation. - Maintain subject‑matter expertise on the platform and contribute to product knowledge resources. - Deliver high‑quality solutions in a fast‑moving, small‑team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct customer discovery interviews to capture needs, goals, and processes. - Translate requirements into clear specifications, acceptance criteria, and user stories. - Support configuration, data preparation, testing, and documentation for implementation projects. - Partner with developers to refine features, address edge cases, and define acceptance tests. - Investigate and troubleshoot unusual behavior, determining root causes and corrective actions. - Author product guides, onboarding flows, and internal reference materials. - Continuously improve software usability, consistency, and overall customer experience. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability; adept at mapping processes and organizing complex information. - Excellent communication: listening, summarizing, and explaining concepts in clear, non‑technical language. - Self‑directed learning with the capability to adapt quickly to new domains and technologies. - Collaboration mindset: comfortable working across product, technical, and customer teams. - Ability to handle ambiguity while maintaining constructive dialogue and decisive action. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or software implementation are a plus but not mandatory.
