Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Senior DevOps Engineer who architects, implements, and maintains cloud‑native infrastructure in a fast‑moving startup environment. Drives reliability, scalability, and continuous delivery through automation, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
Expactations:
- 5+ years of hands‑on DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering in production.
- Proficiency with AWS services (ECS, EKS, Lambda) and Kubernetes.
- Strong command of CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.) and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience writing and deploying Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Knowledge of cloud security, DevSecOps, and compliance (SOC 2, ISO).
- Track record of improving observability, monitoring, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).
- Comfortable with on‑call duty and production incident response.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across backend, web, mobile, and security teams.
- Proactive mindset; mentor teammates and share best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate scalable, secure AWS/Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, safe deployments.
- Deliver IaC solutions with Terraform, ensuring repeatability and version control.
- Implement and enforce security controls, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
- Build and refine monitoring, logging, and alerting for application and infrastructure health.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, troubleshoot incidents, and conduct post‑mortem analyses.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to shape best practices, tooling, and automation strategies.
- Document architecture, processes, and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
Required Skills:
- AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda), Kubernetes, Terraform.
- CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or equivalent).
- Monitoring tools (Prometheus, CloudWatch, Grafana).
- Cloud security / DevSecOps principles.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO standards.
- Postgres, microservices architecture.
- Bash/Shell scripting, Python, or similar.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Optional certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
