Job Description
**Job Title** Cyber Security Analyst **Role Summary** Entry‑to‑mid level analyst providing operational support and technical expertise for an organization’s information security environment. Responsibilities include incident response, threat hunting, system documentation, technology evaluation, and participation in security projects. **Expectations** - 1–2 years of experience in an information security role or internship. - Hands‑on administration of Next‑Generation Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Barracuda). - Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD. - Proficiency with Microsoft security stack (Office 365, Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender). - Experience in threat hunting, forensic investigations, and cloud security design. - Familiarity with SDLC principles in a security context. **Key Responsibilities** - Maintain and operationally support security systems. - Participate in security projects and scheduled maintenance (including after‑hours work). - Conduct incident response, root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. - Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies. - Create and update technical documentation for systems and procedures. - Follow established security policies, procedures, and best practices. **Required Skills** - Next‑Generation Firewall administration (FortiNet, Palo Alto, Barracuda). - Active Directory & Azure AD administration. - Microsoft security tools: Office 365 Security & Compliance, Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender. - Threat hunting and forensic investigation techniques. - Cloud security architecture and design. - Understanding of SDLC and secure development practices. - Documentation and technical writing. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PA‑OS, Microsoft AZ‑500, or equivalent.
