AUX Partners works closely with a KC based financial services company that is actively searching for an entry to mid-level cyber security analyst. This would be a full-time role with a great starting salary, full benefits, and opportunity to work with a close-knit team.

About the Role

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise as a team member in the maintenance and operational support of information security systems.
Participate in a variety of information security projects.
Perform information security incident response and participate in detailed investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies in support of business goals.
Create and maintain systems technical documentation.
Adhere to best practices and company established security policies/procedures/process.
After-hours work for scheduled maintenance and/or project implementations.
Must be able to meet the physical demands for the position.
Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

1-2 years work experience in an information security related role, or internship
Hands-on experience administering a Next Generation Firewall environment, e.g. FortiNet, Palo Alto or Barracuda.
Hands-on experience and strong working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory architecture and administration.
Strong understanding and application of Security concepts in a Microsoft-centric environment: Active Directory, Office 365, Azure Security Center, Defender.
Threat hunting and forensic investigation.
Demonstrated experience in planning and designing cloud security solutions.
Working knowledge and experience in an organization practicing strong SDLC principles.
