Job Description
Job title: IT Engineer Role Summary Design, develop, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure and solutions. Provide consulting, strategic advice, and ongoing support to clients, ensuring secure, high‑performance networks and systems. Expectations Work hybrid – on‑site and remote. 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or consulting. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Strong client‑facing communication and problem‑solving ability. Key Responsibilities - Consult with clients to capture requirements and document technical specifications. - Design, develop, and implement business solutions for information systems. - Advise on IT strategy, policies, management, and service delivery. - Assess and mitigate physical and technical security risks; develop contingency plans. - Resolve conflict situations and provide post‑sale support. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. - Develop policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. - Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer LAN, WAN, mainframe networks, workstations, and peripherals. - Provide problem‑solving services to network users. - Implement network monitoring and security software; optimize server performance. - Assess, document, and optimize capacity and performance of communication networks. - Set up IT infrastructure to enable application access to databases. Required Skills - Cloud: AWS; virtualization. - Networking: LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols. - Servers: Windows Server, Linux, enterprise applications. - Active Directory, domain services, group policy. - ITIL framework application. - Security: network and data security, risk assessment. - Troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis. - Documentation and schema design. - Communication: stakeholder engagement, client consulting. - MS Office Suite, MS Windows, Outlook, file management software. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - Certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation.
