Job Description
Job Title: Solutions Engineer Role Summary: Technical sales engineer in the payments/fintech domain responsible for driving customer engagement, designing solutions, and bridging the gap between product, engineering, and customer needs. Expectations: * Deliver compelling technical demonstrations and discovery sessions. * Translate complex technical requirements into clear architecture and implementation plans. * Own end‑to‑end project execution, ensuring quality, timeline, and stakeholder alignment. * Act as a trusted advisor to customers and a product advocate within the organization. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct sales demos and technical discovery calls with prospects. * Gather requirements, design solution architectures, and produce flow diagrams for implementations. * Manage technical relationships during implementations, including POCs, sample code, and consulting. * Test new features, review documentation, and validate readiness for customer releases. * Track implementation project timelines, provide status updates to leadership. * Feed customer insights into product roadmap discussions as liaison between customers, product, and engineering. * Build and refine internal tools and processes to scale technical sales operations. Required Skills: * Strong technical foundation with proficiency in web APIs (REST, GraphQL). * Experience using API tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or Apollo Studio. * Prior customer‑facing role with excellent communication and presentation abilities. * Ability to understand and explain highly complex technology to diverse stakeholders. * Ownership mindset – drive projects from conception to delivery. * Entrepreneurial, results‑oriented approach with strategic collaboration. * Empathy, humility, and inclusive communication style. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred). * 4+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in fintech/payments. * No mandatory certifications, but knowledge of payments industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
