**Job Title**
Sales Analyst and Demand Planner
**Role Summary**
Provide data-driven demand forecasting and planning for Golf and Tennis product lines. Translate sales, merchandising, logistics, and finance data into actionable insights, automate reporting, and support Inventory and S&OP processes to align supply with demand.
**Expectations**
- Deliver accurate, statistically sound forecasts for each season.
- Automate data collection, cleaning, and reporting to improve efficiency.
- Act as the primary liaison for demand planning across merchandizing, sales, logistics, and finance.
- Continuously refine forecasting models and processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Demand Analysis & Forecasting**
- Build and maintain seasonal forecasting files using internal and external data sources.
- Analyze historical sales, market trends, and external indicators (social media, economics) to forecast demand.
- Identify demand patterns, anomalies, and drivers to improve forecast accuracy.
2. **Automation & Process Improvement**
- Identify repetitive tasks and implement automation solutions (e.g., scripts, dashboards).
- Develop and maintain KPI reporting systems for stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for forecasting and planning processes.
3. **Cross‑Functional Collaboration & S&OP**
- Serve as the key contact for demand planning across merchandising, sales, logistics, and finance.
- Facilitate S&OP/IBP meetings, communicating forecast risks and opportunities.
4. **Inventory & Risk Management**
- Monitor inventory levels against forecasts to prevent stockouts or excess.
- Identify supply‑chain risks, propose mitigation strategies.
5. **New Product Introduction (NPI) & Phase‑Out Support**
- Develop demand plans for new launches and product discontinuations, ensuring smooth transitions.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced data analysis and visualization (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Expert Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA).
- Programming for analytics and automation (Python, R, SQL preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite, SAP).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the skill to present complex data to non‑technical audiences.
- Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational/time‑management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, cross‑functional teams.
- Knowledge of Golf and Tennis retail/supply chains is an asset.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP, Six Sigma, APICS) are a plus but not mandatory.
