Job Description
Job Title: Head of Marketing Role Summary: Lead the marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and customer‑service functions for a major live‑event venue, directing data‑driven campaigns that drive revenue growth, brand equity, and audience engagement. Expactations: - Deliver strategic leadership as part of senior management, aligning marketing initiatives with overall venue objectives. - Build and recognise a high‑performance marketing team, providing coaching and performance oversight. - Manage relationships with ticketing partners, sponsors, and naming‑right holders to optimise revenue streams. - Ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to inform executive decision‑making. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, execute, and monitor all first‑direct arena marketing campaigns and promotional activities. - Collaborate with department heads to develop strategies that drive core revenue streams. - Maintain and update the venue’s marketing assets and budget, ensuring efficient utilisation. - Analyse commercial performance, generate key‑metric reports, and recommend improvements. - Facilitate partnership and sponsorship agreements, ensuring contractual obligations are met. - Support the General Manager in managing naming‑right partnerships and local sponsorship opportunities. - Provide Executive On‑Duty cover during events as required. Required Skills: - Proven leadership in B2C marketing with campaign management experience. - Strong knowledge of the live‑events industry and its commercial drivers. - Ability to establish and nurture internal and external partnerships. - Expertise in driving sales, new business acquisition, and revenue growth. - Proficient in performance reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. - Excellent communication, influence, empathy, and analytical skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. - Relevant marketing or industry certifications (e.g., PMP, CMO, Chartered Marketing) preferred.
