Job Description
**Job title** Senior DevOps – Tier 2 Support **Role Summary** Provide tier‑2 technical support for hybrid‑cloud applications, orchestrate containerized workloads, and integrate DevOps tools with ServiceNow. Collaborate with engineering, deployment, and SRE teams to maintain system performance, security, and cost efficiency while delivering proactive monitoring and incident resolution. **Expactations** - Minimum 2 years of DevOps or software engineering experience in enterprise environments. - Demonstrated expertise in a major cloud platform (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP acceptable). - Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployment, scaling, and management. - Proficient in ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM modules and integration with DevOps tooling. - Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex application, infrastructure, and performance issues. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage and troubleshoot applications and services in a hybrid‑cloud (AWS) environment, ensuring performance, security, and cost optimization. - Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including deployment pipelines, scaling policies, and health monitoring. - Configure and maintain ServiceNow integrations for incident management, change requests, and IT service workflows. - Deliver level‑2 support for software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and application performance incidents. - Collaborate with development, deployment, and SRE teams to align operational practices and automate workflow. - Design and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; proactively identify and mitigate potential issues. - Participate in post‑incident reviews and continuous improvement of support processes and tooling. **Required Skills** - Cloud platforms: AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP; cloud cost management. - Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Helm, Docker. - DevOps tooling: CI/CD pipelines, Git, Terraform/Ansible. - ITSM/ITOM: ServiceNow configuration, workflows, scripting. - Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch. - Scripting languages: Bash, Python, PowerShell. - Incident management, root cause analysis, SLAs, and ESM principles. - Strong analytical problem‑solving and written/verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are preferred.
