Job title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Senior cloud‑focused DevOps professional tasked with designing, automating, and scaling secure AWS environments for enterprise clients. Leads technical teams, establishes DevOps and SRE best practices, and drives adoption of modern continuous delivery and observability pipelines.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end cloud infrastructure and delivery solutions, mentor junior engineers, govern AWS security and compliance, and influence architectural decisions across large‑scale applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and automation of secure, scalable AWS infrastructures.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, workspaces) and Ansible (with Molecule).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large‑scale applications (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, Docker orchestration, and container workloads in production.
- Establish and maintain observability dashboards and alerting with Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus, or equivalents.
- Enforce AWS security governance (IAM, certificate lifecycle, vulnerability management).
- Champion DevOps practices such as GitOps, shift‑left testing, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach intermediate and junior engineers; contribute to architectural reviews.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of DevOps/SRE experience.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (networking, IAM, auto‑scaling, VPC, etc.).
- Advanced Terraform (modules, workspaces) and Ansible (Molecule).
- Proven Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker expertise, including cluster operations and troubleshooting.
- Strong CI/CD design and optimization (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Experience with observability tools and scalable system performance (Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, Elastic, Prometheus).
- Familiarity with distributed systems (Elasticsearch, Cassandra).
- Proficient scripting in Python, Go, or similar.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional is strongly preferred.
- Terraform Associate certification is a plus.
