As a Senior Cloud engineer, you will join our Cloud & Enterprise platforms service line, where we are crafting and implementing transformative cloud strategies and enterprise solutions that enhance productivity, agility, and scalability across all business functions and services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure cloud solutions.
Contribute to architecture decisions on networking, identity, storage, and compute.
Develop solutions aligned with Well-Architected Framework and compliance requirements (ISO27001, DORA, GDPR).

Implementation & Automation

Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, ARM, or Bicep templates.
Develop CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling of cloud environments.

Operations & Reliability

Manage and optimize Azure services (VMs, AKS, App Services, Functions, Networking, Storage).
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Datadog).
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place.

Security & Compliance

Implement Azure security best practices including IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud.
Support audits and ensure adherence to cloud compliance frameworks.

Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with developers, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Provide input into cloud strategy, governance, and cost optimization (FinOps).

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of Azure experience as a Cloud Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.

Strong expertise in:

Azure compute, networking, and storage services.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
Identity & security in Azure AD, RBAC, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Datadog).
Strong scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Proven track record in designing resilient architectures and migration projects.

Azure certifications preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate.

Soft Skills

Speak fluent Dutch and/or French and have a good knowledge of English.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Leadership mindset with mentoring capability.
