Job title: Graduate Software Engineer Role Summary: Recent graduate tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools that support the design, engineering, and operation of renewable energy systems. Expectations: Deliver clean, efficient code that meets functional and performance standards; collaborate with engineering teams; maintain accurate documentation; continuously improve skills and apply best practices. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain automation applications. - Write well‑documented, efficient code in Python, C#, JavaScript, or VBA. - Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions. - Debug, test, and optimise code for reliability and performance. - Create custom scripts, dashboards, and perform data analysis to support workflows. - Apply software development best practices and keep documentation up to date. Required Skills - Proficiency in at least one of Python, C#, JavaScript, or VBA. - Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and debugging techniques. - Ability to produce clean, well‑documented code. - Effective problem‑solving, teamwork, and communication skills. - Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
