Job Description
**Job Title** Security Analyst I **Role Summary** Provides foundational IT security support, monitoring, and incident response within the organization’s security operations center. Analyzes alerts, performs vulnerability assessments, and collaborates on audits and penetration tests to safeguard information assets. **Expectations** - Maintain a proactive, solution‑oriented attitude and strong teamwork. - Take ownership of tickets, ensuring timely, accurate resolution. - Deliver clear, comprehensive documentation for all activities. - Meet or exceed established service‑level and security metrics. - Communicate effectively with users, auditors, and security teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor assigned tickets and resolve issues within defined SLAs. - Conduct routine security assessments: vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and infrastructure reviews. - Analyze audit logs and recommend remedial actions. - Review, troubleshoot, and escalating security alerts (perimeter, antivirus, whitelisting, access management, password & encryption tools). - Support user access audit activities and provide required documentation. - Participate in incident investigations and post‑mortem analyses. - Assist in developing and updating security training content. - Adhere to hospital security policies and regulatory standards. **Required Skills** - Knowledge of IT security fundamentals and principles. - Experience with security tools (e.g., antivirus, application whitelisting, access and password management, encryption). - Ability to analyze audit logs and vulnerability findings. - Familiarity with IP networking and operating systems (Windows, Linux). - Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). - EPIC Security certification within the first six months of employment. - Microsoft Security+ and/or other industry security certifications preferred.
