Job Title: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration to enable rapid, reliable application delivery across development, test, and production environments.
Expectations: 10+ years of IT experience, 3+ years hands‑on in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting/programming (Shell, Python, Ansible); proven expertise with AWS services and automation; strong Linux/Windows administration; experience delivering high‑availability, low‑latency solutions in Agile/Scrum and ITIL frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible).
- Build and support rapid deployment, monitoring, and operations processes for distributed systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across dev, test, and production environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Optimize OS, network, and application performance; design low‑latency, highly available architectures.
- Implement security best practices: IAM least‑privilege, KMS encryption, secret management, network segmentation.
- Design and maintain backend frameworks, automation tools, and policy‑as‑code solutions (OPA, AWS SCPs).
- Participate in code reviews, mentor teams, and bridge development and operations for successful project delivery.
- Deliver projects on time within a modified Scrum environment; support 24/7 operational environments and on‑call duties.
- Document processes, knowledge bases, and runbooks; promote cross‑functional enablement and operational excellence.
Required Skills
- AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, EKS, Lambda, CloudFront) and automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Container orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD/Flux.
- CI/CD, test automation, GitOps, and source control (Git/GitHub).
- Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat) and Windows system administration.
- Monitoring/observability: CloudWatch, ELK/OpenSearch, Azure Monitoring.
- IAM, KMS, secret management, OS hardening, and network security principles.
- VMware virtualization and networking fundamentals (load balancing, DHCP, DNS, routing).
- FinOps skills: cost optimization, AWS Control Tower, Landing Zones, Organizations.
- Agile/Scrum maturity and adherence to ITIL change, incident, release processes.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation abilities.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience.
- Professional certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent cloud/DevOps credentials.
